The goal of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is to:

  • Develop in students the ability to grasp the basic sciences and concepts of engineering,
  • Teach students necessary tools and engineering approach required in professional working life,
  • Teach students necessary tools and engineering approach required in professional working life,

What makes us different than other departments of Electrical and Electronics Engineering or similar programs in BiH or abroad is primarily the advisorship program. Our academic staff is always ready to help the student seek the knowledge beyond the practical project work under the continuous guidance and assistance. Our Staff considers this duty as one of the most crucial activities in producing quality electrical engineers.

International Burch University

The profile of a student for EEE department assumes candidates who are accustomed to work very hard, possess the knowledge of basic math and physics, and perceive the electrical engineering as the area of continuing self-improvement. Besides, students with a particular interest or experience in the application of computer programs will also find the opportunity to assess their ability to do various term projects.

Both Master programs are carried out by the BURCH academic staff and highly qualified professionals from the industry sector. Experts from the field will assist our students in writing their Master thesis and provide them a lot of opportunities to work and closely cooperate with various companies that are their potential future employers. Students have the opportunity to do one part of their master thesis in the following companies:

Damir Bilić

I have been at Burch University for 5 years, first as a student, where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. For the last two years at the University, I was studying for my master’s degree, while also working as a student teaching assistant. Working and studying there helped me acquire so many new experiences, but it was also a stepping stone for my future career. It was only then, being on the other side of the teacher’s desk that it became clear to me why Burch is better than other universities. It offers and encourages a close cooperation between students and professors, while also giving the students freedom in conducting their academic research. This is a university where every student has the opportunity for self-development while being guided by one of the best professors in the country and having access to the finest academic equipment and facilities.

Mirza Ćurić

I always thought that it was a privilege to be a student at IBU, and not any other private or public universities. Support you get from all staff is admirable and that caring environment encourages you to achieve your best.
